"Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17- Each year the High Schoolers of First Presbyterian Church of Northville go out into the world, out of their comfort zone, and work in mission with God's people. This Blog serves as a resources, documenting our experiences, our excitement, our prayers, and our adventures, so we might share them with family and friends while we are away.

Day 1, Grant Newton: Today was our first day of work and it was both difficult and rewarding at the same time. At a food bank called Manna, my group and I sorted out pallots into different piles that would then be sent to packaging. The work was a little confusing at first but when we got the hang of things it turned out to be really fun. At the end of the day we were informed about Manna's mission and a couple facts about the food bank. It was great to hear how much a place helps out the community and made me feel like we accomplished something. I am excited for the rest of the week and hope every work day is as good as today was.
