Day 3 - Megan Lemke

Today (Wednesday) we worked a half-day at a ladies house, Donna, moving dirt into her basement through to smaller holes and one hole large enough to fit a wheelbarrow.  The dirt was compiled into three large mountains. In total, there was 190,000 pounds of dirt. Emma organized us into three groups, working under the house, transportation the dirt/sand from the dirt pile to under the house, and shoveling dirt into the wheelbarrows. We started work at around 9 in the morning and finished within 3 hours. One of the most moving movements was when Donna’s boyfriend, Dan, came onto our bus and told us how appreciative he was that we had helped. Dan talked about how God had given him hope and encouragement to believe and keep praying. Later that day we headed to the beach for some fun in the sun! After about 3-4 hours at the beach we packed up and headed to the famous seaside boardwalk for dinner and entertainment!
