"Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17- Each year the High Schoolers of First Presbyterian Church of Northville go out into the world, out of their comfort zone, and work in mission with God's people. This Blog serves as a resources, documenting our experiences, our excitement, our prayers, and our adventures, so we might share them with family and friends while we are away.

Day 5 - Ashlyn Doner
Today was our final day working on Michelle and
Summer’s house, we finished painting, sanding, and finishing up of final
touches of our work that we did throughout the week. After we finished up our
work at the house we went over to a “surprise” dinner at Bel and Jims house.
Yesterday little Bel showed us some pictures of their house after the storm
hit, everything in their house had to be redone, the house had to be lifted,
and a lot of money had to be put in to rebuilding a house that they just fixed
a few months earlier because of a fire. But today we saw the final product and
it was a very beautiful house that they redid. Before the food came out Bel,
Grace, Karin, and Emma made people started jumping into the pool after the hot
day we spent working. The food was delicious and the trip to New Jersey was a
great way to start my mission trip experience.
